The library is a member of the Georgia Private
Academic Libraries (GPALS) consortium. This
membership has provided access to GALILEO,
Georgia's virtual library. Additionally,
there is a subscription to the Library and
Information Resources Network (LIRN) and WestLaw,
the legal research database. Subscription
to these resources have greatly expanded the
number of databases and resources available for
research.
The basic collection consists of books,
newspapers, magazines, DVDs, compact discs and
other information resources. Items are
classified using the Library of Congress
classification scheme.
There is an Online Public
Access Catalog (OPAC) that allows individuals to
view the library's catalog from any computer on
campus and also from the library's intranet site
located at
http://at.herzing.edu/library
All software used in the
educational programs are installed on the seven
computers located in the library. These
computers are available for use by students and
staff using account information provided by the
information technology department staff.
Students must check with the librarian for
information regarding database access while off
campus.
